The Interview Guide Overview and Context
eTest is a standardized personality inventory developed and validated by licensed psychologists. It is a reliable, valid and research-based assessment instrument that was developed for and normed on business people. It measures normal characteristics of people, with an emphasis on how they may impact a person’s performance on the job. As noted in previous sections, it measures the five primary personality traits: Extraversion, Emotional Reactivity, Behavioral Control, Agreeableness, and Complexity. It also has options for assessing problem-solving aptitudes (deductive reasoning and verbal knowledge).
The results are presented in the following sections:
- Narrative Report
- Targeted Interview Guide
- Personality Profile
- Empirical Scales
- Success Factors. Note: this will only be included if a specific job type – e.g. “Sales†– was selected at the time the candidate completed the testing session. If “Other" was checked, this page will not be included.
This interpretation guide applies to the standard eTest report. A customized and validated eTest profile can also be developed for different companies and jobs. The report format for these customized profiles may have additional report pages, as well as a modified report format. We'll cover more on that in the section on customization and validation.
