The User's Guide and The Technical Manual

The User’s Guide is a how-to document providing directions about navigating and using the eTest.net website. The first two sections (starting on page 3) show how to establish an account and the login for administrators and test-takers. The Client Portal section (starting on page 6) shows how to create, resume, manage and view assessments. It also offers instruction for adding new report types. The Getting Results section (page 21) covers the process for distributing reports to the appropriate recipients. On page 22, there are descriptions and samples of the various report types and instructions for account settings. Finally, there is a Results Interpretation Guide section that offers guidelines and suggestions for the proper use of assessment results.

The Technical Manual provides extensive information on the background, context and development of the eTest assessment battery and extensive references. It provides detailed information about the appropriate use of personality assessment for business, and descriptions and results of eTest validation research. These studies include the statistical relationships and correlations with other personality and cognitive measures as well as assessments of the internal structure and consistency of the eTest dimensions. This publication clearly documents the developmental process and scientific validation that is consistent with the American Psychological Association’s Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology's Principles for the Validation and Use of Personnel Selection Procedures and the EEOC’s Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures. This is the most comprehensive publication documenting the eTest personality inventory and its various reports, its history and background, and the proper use of its results for business purposes.
